The eco label signals at first sight that a product is farmed ecologically, and that its origin and processing are controlled. It must be grown and cultivated with a guarantee that no synthetic pesticides and highly soluble mineral fertilisers are used. All products labelled “Bio” (Organic) are subject to the EU Eco regulation, controlled by IT BIO 006 (company number 01057B).

Fairtrade is a strategy for poverty alleviation and sustainable development. Its purpose is to create opportunities for producers and workers who have been economically disadvantaged or marginalized by the conventional trading system. If fair access to markets under better trade conditions would help them to overcome barriers to development, they can join Fairtrade. All products marked „Flo“ are Fairtrade-certified (FLO-ID: 24909).
