Our roastery – craftsmanship, origin and responsibility around coffee

Since 1890, our family-run coffee roastery has been dedicated to refining first-class coffee beans sourced from carefully selected origins around the equator. Then as now, we place the highest value on artisanal quality and embrace the art of traditional, single-origin slow roasting.

In order to transform select green coffee into perfectly flavoursome blends, a wide variety of factors need to interact in harmony. These include the origin, growing conditions, varieties, roasting and technical expertise.

We procure our top-quality coffee beans from selected plantations round the equator. We visit some countries of origin personally. We verify the growing conditions and the quality on site.

We are pursuing the highest quality standards when it comes to the origin and growing conditions of the green coffee. An intact, healthy natural environment and fair trading conditions are a pre-requisite for every import. It is therefore self-evident that the processed green coffee can be traced back to every producer - not least in order to guarantee to customers and coffee growers alike that we work in a social and sustainable way from the very start.
